Hi there! Are you a literary agent who's looking for an atmospheric adult suspense novel set at a picturesque vacation spot in the Midwest? Let me tell you a little about CHERRY LAKE.
Ten years ago, Grace Black’s college roommates disappeared from Cherry Lake State Park, leaving Grace alone on the beach, baffled and afraid. Without answers about the fate of her three closest friends, Grace’s life has devolved into one of lonely, anxious obsession.
When Grace meets rising-star podcaster Julia Chung, her hope reawakens. Julia is whip-smart and bold, and she’s confident that if she and Grace work together, they can dig up the truth of what happened at Cherry Lake—and make a fantastic podcast, too. Julia comes armed with new info: she’s discovered a connection between the disappearances and a seemingly unrelated murder.
They travel to Cherry Lake, where, amidst the dense forest and picturesque tourist towns, Grace is forced to grapple with resurfacing memories of her and her friends’ final summer together. Before she can make sense of these increasingly dark and complex recollections, she discovers Julia has hidden the real reason for her interest in the case. Left with no one to rely on, and with a mysterious figure haunting her every step, Grace must uncover the disturbing truths hidden at Cherry Lake, or risk being trapped there forever.
Yes, I know this is not a place where books are typically pitched to agents, but hey, you're here, I wrote this, and I thought you should know! Let me know if you're interested!
